Homunculus

Are our screens an extension of our mind? Just as the technology can extend our perception beyond our immediate visual and sonic range, it also holds the uncanny power to extend our minds beyond our normal reality and into the imagined worlds of others. When this boundary blurs and fades, the real becomes the imaginary, and the screen hyperreality becomes the refuge- the seated watcher an anesthetized homunculus.
