Antegarden

'Antegarden' (in progress) is a video game and series of oil paintings. The game is set in a virtual art gallery, with a series of 12 images on the walls. Each image appears to represents a location in a mysterious garden world. A central terminal accessible in the game space runs a text adventure game in which players navigate this world via text commands, using the images on the walls as references for progressing in the game. With no graphics other than the static images on the walls, the player is challenged to 'mentally render' the vast garden world to progress through the game.
