Treadmill

'Treadmill' is an investigation into how the external environment is reflected internally. How does the sense of place morph and change as it is ingested and internalized by its inhabitants? Are people the product of their environment? The series is a reflection on the aesthetics of the sprawl of America, and the form of society created and reinforced by this infrastructure. The series consists of CMYK screen prints of digital renders created from partially remembered, partially imagined sites of the anonymous exurban landscape. The resulting series forms a virtual city of composites created from my experience living in the sprawl.
