This animation accompanied a research proposal for LOCI, Laboratory for Optical and Computational Imaging, that involves raster scanning a sample with a laser, and sending that light data through a fiber optic spool to separate the colors from the sample image. The colors can then be recombined at the camera to create a full color image of microscopic matter that would otherwise appear gray scale.
