Link: Second Harmonic Generation is one animation in a series for a modular microscopy setup that can be configured for multiple imaging modes. Second harmonic generation is a nonlinear optical process in which intense light interacts with ordered molecular structures and produces signal at a new wavelength. The animation presents that process as a physical path through the Link system, connecting the laser, optical elements, sample, and detector so the viewer can understand how this modality highlights structures that may not be visible in ordinary reflected-light imaging.
