S.E.T.I.
Sequential Erosion Tissue Imaging is a novel imaging process in which a sample is encased in a hard plastic resin, and then ground down to create a flat image layer. Once the layer is imaged, the sample is ground down further and sequentially imaged. This creates a digital 3D model of the sample. The original sample is lost in this process, leaving only the digital version created from the sequentially imaged layers.
